Caroline Carter is a mezzo soprano currently studying at Oberlin Conservatory of Music.

Caroline is a graduate of the prestigious Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts, where she began her classical training, focusing on art songs, arias, and opera performance. She is currently a fourth-year student in the vocal performance program at Oberlin Conservatory, studying with Dr. Katherine Jolly.

Caroline was named the second place winner in the 2022 NATS National Student Auditions competition and the Silver Award Winner in the 2021 Young Arts National Competition. She has also received accolades from Schmidt Vocal Institute and CS Music. Her recent credits include Marcellina in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro with the Brancaleoni International Music Festival, Dorothée in Cendrillon with Chicago Summer Opera, and Ernestina in Rossini’s L’occasione fa il ladro with Oberlin Opera Theater. This fall, she performed as Mrs. Herring in Oberlin’s production of Albert Herring by Benjamin Britten.
