Caroline Carter is a mezzo soprano currently studying at the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music.

Caroline started her classical training at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas, Texas. After graduation, she studied with Dr. Katherine Jolly at Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Caroline is currently working on her Master’s degree at CCM in the studio of Dr. Amy Johnson.

Caroline’s recent credits include Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro with Canto Vocal Programs, Mrs. Herring in in Oberlin’s production of Albert Herring, Dorothée in Cendrillon with Chicago Summer Opera, and Ernestina in L’occasione fa il ladro with Oberlin Opera Theater. Her next project is with Opera Fusion: New Works, as she helps workshop the roles of Clementia, Margravine von Stade, and the Voice of Living Light in Sarah Snider’s opera Hildegard.

Caroline was named the second place winner in the 2022 NATS National Student Auditions competition and the Silver Award Winner in the 2021 Young Arts National Competition. She has also received accolades from Schmidt Vocal Institute and CS Music.
